About the Corporation Brewarrina Aboriginal Corporation (BAC) was established to support the Brewarrina Aboriginal Cultural Museum Trust to manage the Crown Land Museum Reserve and buildings (Res-230001) and the Aboriginal Fish Trap Reserve (Res- 230074) . The Museum reserve and fish traps are a place of cultural and spiritual significance to local Aboriginals who identify as members of the Ngemba, Ualarai, Murrawarri, Gamilaroi, Baranbinja, Koama, Weliwan, Kula, Baarkkinji people from the Brewarrina region. The Aim of the Brewarrina Aboriginal Corporation is for Elders to support and mentor younger members of the community to become active board members that take part in making decisions about their community. BAC is register under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (ORIC) and is registered under the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) | Our Objectives
